DMCA Takedown Policy
Effective Date: February 28, 2026
Guest List (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our platform to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the “DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512, we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our platform.
1. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content available on or through our platform infringes a copyright you own or control, you may submit a written takedown notice to our designated DMCA agent. Your notice must include the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works;
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., a direct URL);
- Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
2. Designated DMCA Agent
Please send all DMCA takedown notices to our designated agent:
Email: ontheguestlistapp@gmail.com
Subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice
We may not respond to notices that do not substantially comply with all of the foregoing requirements.
3. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe that material you posted on the platform was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with our designated agent. Your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access was disabled;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Guest List may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notification or an agent of such person.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action seeking a restraining order against you within 10 business days, we may restore the removed material.
4. Misrepresentation Warning
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, we have adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the platform or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe the intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
6. Notification to Alleged Infringer
When we receive a valid DMCA takedown notice, we may forward the notice (including the complainant's contact information) to the user who posted the allegedly infringing material, so that they may have an opportunity to respond or file a counter-notification.
7. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify this DMCA Takedown Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
